On 22 December 2021, the Ministry of Commerce issued a press release on the entry the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP).

The RCEP Agreement is an ASEAN initiative and has been announced to begin negotiations in 2022 in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
